WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – There may not be designated smoke areas for much longer at Purdue University.

On Wednesday afternoon, Purdue President Mitch Daniels proposed to the University Senate to move the remaining 21 designated smoke areas completely off campus.

He compared the plan to Ohio State University’s tobacco-free policy.

Purdue went smoke-free back in July of 2010, with the exception of designated smoke areas.
