LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Antique buyers and sellers from around the country are heading to Lafayette this weekend for the 45th Jefferson High School Antique Show.
More than 30 vendors are selling everything from glassware to vintage toys and furniture. Many eras are represented including Art Deco and Victorian and some items are more than 100 years old.
Show promoter John Wanat said people use the show to do some early Christmas shopping.
“Some people purchase for investment purposes, as well as decorating, and finding some unique item rather than what you find at the normal stores today — where you can see a dozen of them sitting on the shelf,” Wanat said.
The event runs all weekend at Jeff High School, 1801 S. 18th St., in Lafayette. Here’s date and time information:
Friday – 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Proceeds from the Antique Show go to the Jeff Athletic Booster Club.
