TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — Formal charges were filed against a Lafayette man accused of strangling a woman.
Prosecutors have charged Raymond Bolden with battery, strangulation and criminal confinement.
Police were called to a home on Tularosa Court on Sept. 20 for a reported domestic disturbance.
Court documents say a woman claims Bolden beat and choked her after she could not provide him with the remote control for his TV.
Bolden told police he was trying to hug the woman. Police said a strong odor of alcohol was smelled on Bolden’s breath.
He was convicted of domestic battery in 2004 and 2011.
