LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Greater Lafayette isn’t exactly staying neutral in this World Series.

Mayors Tony Roswarski and John Dennis will present an official Cubs Week proclamation in downtown Lafayette Thursday night at exactly 7:08 p.m..

Local Cubs fans are invited to Riehle Plaza to join the celebration. Dress in your best red and blue, and don’t forget your W-flag.

Why 7:08, you may ask?

It’s because in military time, it translates to 1908 — which is the last time the Cubs won the World Series.
