WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Purdue University’s International Program is looking for people in the community who want to be a host family for the holidays.

The Host-A-Boiler program is designed for international students who will be on campus for the holidays.

Last year, more than 250 students were able to spend time with local families and learn about American culture.

I-Fan Lin was one of those Purdue students. He said it truly is an amazing experience.

“We spend the whole afternoon together and have a great time, and I know more about their families and their lives,” Lin said. “And I also shared about my experiences at Purdue and also the experience in the USA.”

If you are interested in becoming a host family, you find more information on registration at Purdue’s Host-A-Boiler website.
