LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — There’s a new exhibit at the Haan Mansion Museum and it features work done by local artists.
Dozens of people made their way to the museum Saturday afternoon for the opening of its new exhibit called the Sculpture Garden.
The garden includes more than 20 different sculptures made of bronze, stone, clay and steel. All the sculptures are done by Hoosier artists.
The garden was funded by grants from the Indiana Office of Tourism Development and the Community Foundation of Greater Lafayette.
Organizers said the project had been in the works for more than a year.
“It’s just been a fun project. It’s been a lot of work,” museum president Bob Haan said. “It’s fun working with the artists, and we’ve had a lot of volunteers help us with this … so we’re ready to go and excited at getting it open.”
The Sculpture Garden will be open to the public free of charge every day.
