LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — A Food Finders representative said you may be spending too much on your grocery bill.

Tuesday and Wednesday the organization will host Savvy Shopper. The event is free to those who take the class and teaches people how to save money when buying food.

Attendees have the opportunity to learn how to avoid store marketing tricks and how make an easy meal.

Melissa Winkleman said participants also have a chance to win a free gift card to Meijer.

“We’re gonna be covering things like unit pricing, how to maintain a price book, how to use coupons effectively, how to use apps and websites to help you save more, and how to stretch your food dollars,” Winkleman said.
