1 airlifted after Cass County crash involving semi

CASS COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — A woman is airlifted to the hospital after a crash in Cass County.

Just after 11 a.m. Monday, a woman traveling west on County Road 400 South in Cass County was struck by a semitrailer carrying logs after authorities say she failed to obey a stop sign.

Indiana State Police said the woman was able to get out of the vehicle on her own, but she was injured. State police said she was alert when they arrived, but the victim was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital.

The driver of the semi was uninjured.
