WARREN COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — Tuesday News 18 discovered new details about the death of a Warren County Jail inmate who was facing child molesting charges.

Indiana State Police said corrections officers found 46-year-old Dennis Hoard of Attica unresponsive in his cell just before midnight on Monday, Oct. 31. Medics tried to revive him, but he was pronounced dead at St. Vincent Hospital in Williamsport.

Warren County Coroner Bryan Lanham tells News 18 that Hoard died from asphyxiation due to hanging.

Hoard was being held on a charge of possession of a firearm by a felon. He also had a pending case in Fountain County for child molesting charges.
