LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The public is invited to catch a performance of “Mary Poppins” this weekend at Jeff High School in Lafayette. Some of the cast and crew joined News 18 at Noon on Wednesday to give us a preview of the show.
John Satterfield, Jeff High School musical director, said about 60 students are involved in the production. He said some students in the show are even from junior high and middle school.
He said the students have been practicing for about two months.
“Since the beginning of September, right after Labor Day weekend,” Satterfield said.
Shows are available Friday-Sunday at Jeff High School, 1801 S. 18th St., in Lafayette. The Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7 p.m. and the Sunday show starts at 2 p.m.
“But there’s also a 12:30 [p.m.] Tea Time with Mary Poppins [on Sunday],” Satterfield said. “So, you get to meet all the cast and crew. That’s $5.”
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online or by calling the high school at 765-772-4700.
