Indiana’s Governor-elect Eric Holcomb discusses the future after win

INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) – Indiana’s Governor-elect, Lt. Gov. Eric Holcomb, held a press conference Wednesday afternoon to discuss his future goals.

Holcomb defeated Democrat John Gregg and Libertarian Rex Bell in Tuesday night’s election, with 52 percent of the vote.

Holcomb was joined by Lt. Governor-elect Suzanne Crouch and members of the Holcomb-Crouch Team in Indianapolis. He Holcomb spoke on his goals including passing a balanced budget, focusing on veteran issues and passing a long-term infrastructure program.

Holcomb said he has high hopes for Indiana.

“Our state government will reflect and reach out to every corner of the state, all walks, cities — large and small, all communities,” he said Wednesday.

Holcomb introduced his transition team today, which includes former Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman and Earl Goode, who served as chief of staff for Gov. Mitch Daniels.
