Organizations team up to provide a busload of help

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Two organizations are helping feed the Greater Lafayette community one busload at a time.

For the fourth year in a row, CityBus and Food Finders Food Bank partnered up to put on the Stuff the Bus Drive.

Residents donated bags of groceries and other necessities by piling them onto a CityBus parked outside the Wal-Mart in West Lafayette.

People of all ages offered a helping hand.

Organizers say the partnership between Food Finders and CityBus gives both organizations a better reach toward helping those in need.

“Our services, sometimes, are provided to folks that need to go to and from the food bank, so it’s a great way for us to show that we’re really supporting those that need a little extra help this time of year,” said Tonya Agnew, CityBus’ manager of development.

All donations were taken to Food Finders Food Bank to be sorted and distributed.
