DELPHI, Ind. (WLFI) — A Delphi health clinic is now able to serve more people after IU Health Arnett donated a building.

North Central Nursing Clinics runs four family health clinics focused on affordable health care in rural areas.

After IU Health Arnett decided to leave its Delphi location, they chose to donate the facility to the Family Health Clinic. The clinic will move administrative offices to that building, allowing the clinic to add five more patient-care rooms in the original space.

Director of operations Suzan Overholser said she’s already seeing an increase in appointments.

“We’re very excited about it, and we think we’re positioned well for it but it comes with a lot of responsibility,” Overholser said. “Once it was announced, within a couple of days, we started seeing people come in. Senior citizens specifically.”

North Central Nursing Clinics will take possession of the building at the start of 2017 and move in soon after. They also have clinics in Wolcott, Burlington and Monon.
