Tyson Scheumann signs letter of intent to play at Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The McCutcheon Mavericks had something to smile about Wednesday. Senior baseball star Tyson Scheumann signed his letter of intent to play at Purdue University.

After not swinging a bat for six months because of a torn ACL, Scheumann hit .209 in 43 at-bats last spring. He says the hardest part of his return was getting his rhythm back.

In addition to continuing his baseball career with the Boilers, Scheumann expects to major in kinesiology.
