LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Several streets closed around 9 p.m. Friday because of a police investigation on Teal Road in Lafayette.

A News 18 crew at the scene said most of the police presence was in the parking lot of the Kentucky Fried Chicken in the 2700 block of Teal Road.

Around 9:20 p.m. police sent out a notice that Teal Road was closed between 26th and 30th streets, and drivers should seek another route. Ten minutes later, they reopened Teal, but shut down Sequoya Drive and 30th Street on either side of the KFC.

All roads were reopened within a couple hours.

Police have not released any information about what kind of incident they were investigating.
