DARLINGTON, Ind. (WLFI) – The town of Darlington continues to mourn the loss of two children killed at their home Thursday morning. A prayer service was held for the family of 7-year-old Tyler Daniel Clinton Worley and 3-year-old Charlee Rose Jean Worley Friday night. Court documents indicate they were both killed by their mother.

Community members gathered at the Congregational Christian Church. Tears were wiped away as they prayed and sang songs in memory of the children.

Candles were also lit, signifying the light being passed on to one another in a time of darkness.

Chad Edwards lives in Crawfordsville but calls Darlington his hometown. He said it was important for him to come show support.

“Just to be with the community to help them grieve, you know, just to be with them with the sad, very sad thing that happened,” he said. “Yeah, I just want to show my support, my love and everything.”

Pastors from around the area were on hand to help with the grieving process.
