LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Lafayette police are looking for the men responsible for separate armed robberies that occurred about an hour apart Tuesday.

At 12:20 p.m., police responded to a robbery at Castle Brooks Spiritual Shop on Main Street.

The store’s owner told police a man pointed a gun at her and demanded money after walking around the store and picking up items. The man was gone when police arrived.

No injuries were reported.

Just over an hour later, police responded to another armed robbery at the Casey’s General Store on Teal Road West.

Police say a man entered the convenience store, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money before leaving the scene. Lafayette police used a K-9 to track the alleged suspect but could not locate him.

No injuries were reported.

A similar robbery occurred at the same Casey’s General Store on Nov. 18, but police say they cannot confirm if the robberies are related.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call the Lafayette Police Department at 765-807-1200 or the anonymous WeTip Hotline at 800-78-CRIME.
