TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — It’s that time of year again when shoppers brave Indiana’s late fall temperatures to try and get some good deals during their holiday shopping.

The Tippecanoe Mall opened its doors for Black Friday shoppers Thursday at 6 p.m. Almost every store inside the mall participated in the early shopping festivities this year.

Young shopper Ethan Bell said he was pleasantly surprised the lines weren’t as long as he expected. The cold temperatures didn’t stop him and his family from lining up long before the mall even opened.

“I went almost Black Friday shopping, it’s actually Thursday,” said Bell. “So, Black Friday shopping, whatever you want to call it. I’m shopping, I’ve got my new Xbox right here.”

The Tippecanoe Mall will be open until 10 p.m. Friday for shoppers to enjoy.
