MULBERRY, Ind. (WLFI) — One small town is looking to bring the spirit of Christmas back to the community.
The town of Mulberry held its second annual Mulberry Hometown Christmas festival Friday.
The event featured horse drawn carriage rides, a fire for roasting s’mores, games for kids and a special visit from Santa Claus.
Organizers said, in just two years, they have already seen a growth in turnout. They said they wanted a fun and free event everyone could enjoy.
“I wanted to bring the community together,” said organizer Paula Bennett. “I just wanted to bring the small-town feel back and get away from the hype of Black Friday.”
The event would not have been made possible without the help of all the people working the event.
