Carroll Co. deputy released from hospital following fatal Flora fire

CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — The Carroll County deputy who was injured while trying to save four girls from a Flora house fire has been released from the hospital.

Sheriff Tobe Leazenby said Deputy Drew Yoder was released from the hospital Sunday. Leazenby said he expects the recovery to take weeks.

Yoder was injured after a fire broke out last Monday at a home in Flora. Four girls were trapped inside and died of smoke inhalation.

Their mother, Gaylin Rose, was also injured and released from the hospital last week. A Flora Police Officer, Josh Disinger, was also treated and since been released.
