LSC to build new elementary school during $98 million renovations

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Renovation plans totaling $98 million for the Lafayette School Corporation will include a new elementary school.

Glen Acres Elementary School will be demolished and a new school will be built.

LSC Superintendent Les Huddle laid out the plans Monday night for the community. He said the new school will help with security and overcrowding.

The renovation plans also call for more classrooms at Tecumseh Jr. High School and site improvements at Jeff High School.

Corporation leaders are trying to do all the projects without raising taxes.
