LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The Haan Mansion Museum will transform into a holiday haven the first two weekends of December. Visitors will find a gingerbread house big enough for the kids to play, a train throughout the house and, of course, Santa.
“We have two sets of trains,” Bob Haan said. “We have one, this large train, that runs from one closet to the closet, bathroom and another room. The kids love to race the train back and forth through the room.”
Cheryl Kaldahl wants to remind the public that the Indiana artwork the Haan Mansion Museum is so well known for will also be on-hand.
“Everything that the artists have brought make Indiana what it is, when it comes to the culture,” said Kaldahl. “What better way to do that, and highlight it with the holiday?”
This year’s theme is London, and there will be figurines of London landmarks like Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Windsor Castle.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Students ages 5-17 are $6 in advance and $7.50 at the door. Children under 5 are free on this tour.
The tours will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, and 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4.
