Good Evening, The skies over Lafayette have cleared at this hour and will remain primarily clear through the overnight hours and into Thursday! Higher pressure flowing southeastward from the upper Great Plains will continue to erode the cloud cover over Greater Lafayette in the coming hours. The crystal clear skies however, mean temperatures will plummet at the surface by dawn. After falling to 7° (with wind chills near -5°) in Lafayette tonight, the added sunshine tomorrow should help drive temperatures around 5° higher than they were today.
